ISA Certified Arborist Serving Northern and Central Virginia
Who We Are
Eckert Structural Tree Care is a specialty arborist practice serving Northern and Central Virginia. We focus on the work most tree companies avoid — structural pruning, planting support, soil and root care, and careful assessments — so the trees that matter to you can keep mattering for decades.
You didn't land here by accident. You have a tree — maybe more than one — that means something to you. Maybe it's the heritage oak out front. Maybe it's a row of fruit trees your grandfather planted — or that you are about to plant. Maybe it's a leaning giant near your house that's starting to worry you.
Whatever brought you here, you're looking for someone who will take the time to understand your tree, tell you the truth, and do the work right. That's what we're built for.
Meet the Owner

Meet Andy Eckert, ISA Certified Arborist®
Hi, I'm Andy. Here's a little about how I got here — and what you can expect when you call.
I came to arboriculture in 2021 as a mid-career move — not because it was convenient, but because I knew I would grow to love it. After years in a different field, I decided I wanted work that was all at once physical, intellectually alive, and genuinely useful to the people who hired me. Climbing and caring for trees checked every box.
Today I'm an ISA Certified Arborist® as well as ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualified (ISA TRAQ).
In 2022 I started Culpeper Tree Service with help from some long-time friends, themselves experienced arborists and the owners of a successful Charlottesville practice. Eckert Structural Tree Care is the next chapter of my practice — a focused, specialty-driven brand built around the work I care most about: structural pruning, planting support, soil and root care, and careful, honest tree risk and health assessments.
What I believe, and what my clients consistently affirm, is that the best tree work starts with honest judgment.
Before any cut is made, I want to help you to understand what I see, why I'm recommending what I am, and what your good options are. That's the conversation I hope to have with you.
