Occasions for Fruit Tree Pruning
The right approach depends on your tree's age, condition, and goals.
For fruit trees that are already well-structured and just need regular upkeep. Annual pruning maintains open canopy architecture, manages new growth, removes crossing or damaged branches, and keeps fruiting wood productive. While often performed during dormancy, maintenance pruning can be carried out throughout much of the year, depending on the species and management objectives.
Best for: Healthy, structurally sound fruit trees that need ongoing care.

Tree Selection Consultation
Before any tree goes in the ground, we help you choose the right one. We walk the site, evaluate sun, soil, drainage, and surrounding plantings, and give you a short list of species suited to your conditions and goals.
Planting + First-Year Care (With Survival Warranty)
Our most common arrangement. We plant the tree, then schedule check-in visits through the first growing season — water monitoring, stake and mulch adjustment, early structural pruning. When the tree is Eckert-sourced and on our maintenance plan, we stand behind first-year survival.
Multi-Year Early Establishment Program (Years 1–5)
The gold standard. The first five years determine almost everything about a tree's long-term structure and health. We visit on a defined schedule across all five growing seasons — water oversight, mulch maintenance, stake removal, structural pruning at the right ages, soil monitoring, intervention if anything goes wrong.
Custom By-Visit Care
If you'd rather not commit to a program but still want a qualified arborist available, we work on a per-visit basis. You call us when you need us; we come out and do what the tree needs. Best for experienced tree owners who want backup.
